autism

Post a new topicby akbar on Thu Aug 16, 2007 4:54 am

I have a 4 year son, doctor says that he is autis. He can not communicate verbally. The doctor has given rispedal, dext (I forget), cod liver oil, etc. We also have paid 2 therapists (for 2 years) now.
Is there any possibility for my son to be able to speak normally ?

Thank you !

Concerned father

Dear Curt..
You say your son did not start speaking age 5. Does it mean he speak now ?
Yes ! What kind of treatment have you taken ?
Doctor has suggested to do some tests, like blood, hair, etc that seem difficult for us for specific reason.

Thank You!

I don't see why not! Have you considered HBOT, chelation, and dietary changes? Therapists are great, but so slow and really... why not change root probems instead of learning to deal with autism. maybe look at DAN doctors!

My son is very much like yours, (or so it sounds anyway). He's been receiving therapy for what seems like forever. He has OT, PT and SPT every week. I've recently been learning about the influence diet has on these special little ones and I'm starting to change my son's diet. I'm going to a three-day class the end of this month to learn about eating/cooking with only organic, non-processed, whole foods and getting off dairy completely. Dairy in particular can be really bad for them. I've read different accounts of children who had autism and came out of it completely after their diet was changed. I think the pesticides and hormones in our food cause so many health-problems. Anyway, good-luck! It's hard, I know.

your totally right! Children with Autism have lots of allergies that we cant tell from normal allergy tests which only check for a termporal association. I'm of a firm belief that children with autism are living with so much frustration. Its ironic that no body knows how harmful vaccinations can be and how these often cause the symptoms. Unfortunatly manufactures in US have recognized the correlation but have decided they will remove the mercury from the vaccination once they have already run out of their current supply. Dan doctors might be something you should all look into!
