Is this a normal side effect? dteel[/quote]. I am responding after having the TURP and continuing on this subject. Since I had the Cool Thermal Therapy and experience the difficulty of peeing, and using the "self-catheterization" I contacted my doctor for the TURP procedure. By having the "Cool Thermal Therapy" I had to self-catheterization myself to void the bladder. I had to constant ensure that all items were clean and to keep from getting a UTI. My doctor stated that the Cool Thermal Therapy could take up to 3 to 6 months to have a positive impact/result. This wasn't what I had hope for; and wanted immediately relief. I wish that I had not had the CTT procedure because it made it impossible for me to pee. Since I have had the TURP surgery on 19 Nov 08, I can now completely empty my bladder and sleep throughout the night without getting up. My recommendation is to read all alternatives before selecting a procedure.
Re: Cool Thermal TherapyI'm not sure on this one, but if it were me, I would call the doctor's office where you go and ask the
physician's assistant or ask for the nurse and relate what's going on. It may or may not be normal and you shouldn't have to sit around worrying about it, right? Anyway, that's what I would do. Sometimes these things take time. Sometimes not.
Sponsored LinksRe: Cool Thermal TherapyI had a TUMT in July of 2000 and was on a foley for weeks. By Nov 2000 when the flow started to slow the URO that performed the process said that a TURP was the only solution. Ihave been on ADVODART and flowmax ever since.
