Foley--best urine collection leg bags?I've been diagnosed with renal failure caused by severe urinary retention from BPH My urologist inserted a Foley catheter into my bladder as a temporary fix until I can have prostate surgery. I'm hoping that will at least halt further deterioration of my kidneys. (Anyone else have similar experiences?)
But those cheap urine collection leg bags are awful. The cheap plastic makes the skin of my leg itch, and those straps keep cutting into the flesh of my leg. Can anyone recommend a really comfortable urine leg bag I could purchase? As long as it's not frightfully expensive.

I had an idea, if I'm not too late for this. Get a pair of socks made out of the material you think is the softest. Cut the toe part off with a pair of scissors. Now get a third sock. Put the one sock up against your leg in back of the bag to prevent the thing from scratching your skin. Now thread each of the two stretchy straps into the other socks and then secure the straps. Bingo! Your skin is now isolated from both the straps and the plastic bag. No? If the sock behind the bag moves around, just use a bit of that "surgical" adhesive tape to hold it to the back of the bag. I hope somehow this helps you or somebody else with the same situation. Sorry if this is so late...I just found this site.
